A Taste of London – Part 2

Before heading to the Harry Potter Studio Tour we stopped at Wetherspoon in the Victoria Train Station for lunch. There I had a really tasty chicken pie with chips, gravy and peas. It was super tasty. but very rich and I couldn’t even look at another pie for the rest of the trip. 

This kept us full during the tour, but we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to pass up a Butterbeer.

They told us you can only get authentic Butterbeer in 4 places – the Wizarding World theme parks in Orlando, Anaheim and Osaka. The topping was very sweet, but the soda was very refreshsing. I loved it, but I don’t know how regularly I’d want to drink these. 

For dinner that evening, our friend brought us to Carluccio’s. To start we had a salami plate with focaccia. There’s just something about cured meats I can’t resist, what can I say.

And for dinner I had a pasta dish with goat cheese which was super tasty.

Alongside dinner, I had my maiden voyage into the world of the Aperol Spritz. It’s an Italian cocktail made with Aperol, a spirit, prosecco, and soda water. It’s a refreshing little bevy, and not overly sweet.

It was our last night in London, so we went to a bar after dinner. I’m not much of a beer gal, so I had another cocktail that England is known for, a Pimm’s Cup, which I LOVED.

We had a great time exploring London’s food scene, even if it was just scraping the surface of it. I can’t wait to go back!
