Boxycharm January 2020
After seeing the spoilers, I thought I would sign up for Boxycharm for the month of January. I thought I’d be pretty satisfied with any of the variations I was seeing online. Plus, they had a pretty good sign up deal with a few free products. Also, I had enough charms to use for a free product and thought I might as well use them up because I don’t think I will be getting Boxycharm too often this year. I only ordered 2 boxes is 2019.
The price has gone up with Boxycharm. It is now 25$ USD per month. With the 5$ shipping and the exchange, it ends up being about 40$ a month. So I have to be pretty confident I will like whatever variation of the box I will get.
As expected, I was pretty happy with what I received in my January Boxycharm. Here is what I got:
I really didn’t need more highlighters in my collection. I’ve been kind of getting away from using them on a regular basis. I think if you like a really blingin’ highlight, this won’t be for you. I actually really like it because it’s not super hardcore. It blends nicely and looks pretty natural. The packaging is pretty cute, but a little bulky for storage.
I find a couple of shades in this palette are pretty similar to the Modern Renaissance palette, which I have so I was hoping to get the Vintage Dawn palette. But after receiving it and using it I am really happy with the palette. There are a couple shades in it that makes this one different. I love it!
This is my favourite thing I’ve received in the box. They were sending out a lighter version of this palette as well, so I’m glad I got this one. I really love both the bronzer and blush in this palette. I can see myself taking this on a lot trips. I will say that I don’t know how someone even a bit darker than me would be able to use this palette. I wish there were a few more options.
I was really excited to get this in the box. I’ve been hearing about it for a while now, but never really wanted to shell out for it. I’m glad it’s the mini version – I still feel like this is going to last me a long time. I love this sleeping mask. It makes my face feel so nice after using it.
This was probably the thing I was least excited to receive. I have a lot of mascaras, and I haven’t heard too many great things about this brand. I’ve been using it, and it’s a decent mascara. Nothing too special, but nothing bad.
This was what really sold me to get the January box. I love Luxie brushes, and was really excited to get 3 more. This set features the 510 classic Foundation Brush, the 250 Large Eye Blending Brush, and the 246 Precision Crease Brush. I’m really excited to use these. I will probably use the foundation one for highlighter.
I got this palette in a previous box. I thought it was a nice neutral palette. But I have a couple of those so I had actually given it away recently. I probably won’t hold on to it.
I wanted to use my charms to redeem something, and I liked the look of this lipstick even though I don’t usually go for a shimmer. It’s nice and pretty neutral. I had to pay $5.00 for shipping for this.
