FabFitFun Starter Box Fall 2019
I love a good subscription box. I’ve been wanting to try FabFitFun for ages, but the price (plus shipping and exchange) has always been a deterrent for me. Sure, you get a lot of stuff with a high value, but if I don’t use it, it provides no value, you know?
FabFitFun is a quarterly subscription box, filled with home, lifestyle, and beauty products. The box costs $49.99 (but you can always find a discount code). The value is regularly over $250.
A friend of mine gave me a code for a starter box. The box itself was free, but I did have to pay shipping, which worked out to be around $12.00 CAD. Shipping took about 2 1/2 weeks from ordering to delivery.
Anyway, here’s what I got in the box.
This was my favourite item in the box. It’s getting cold here in Canada, and there’s no such thing as too many blankets. The blanket is super soft. It took its place on my couch immediately. I love it!
The lotion was probably the most ‘meh’ thing for me in the box. Lotions are fine. I just don’t use them a whole lot. The scent is nice.
This was another highlight in the box. I have weak, soft nails that sometimes peel. I enjoy nail oils, and loved that this one was strengthening. The dropper leaves much to be desired. I prefer to ‘paint on’ a nail oil. I felt like I kind of had to rub it in myself, and had oily fingers.
I haven’t tried this yet, but I’m looking forward to it. I’ve been experimenting with exfoliators, both chemical and physical. This is a combination of the two, which I’m excited about. The card says it’s $75 but it seems to have gone up about $10 since. On the Sephora Canada website, it’s listed as $110, which is nuts. I hope I don’t like this too much!!! Because I am not spending $110 on any beauty product ever unless it promises to make me look like JLO in Hustlers.
Considering I only paid $12 for this box, I am pretty darn happy with it. I don’t know if it’s convinced me to get the full-size box. If you want to join FabFitFun I have a code you can use here for 50% off your first box. Or if you want to try a starter box like this one, message me on Twitter and I can send you the email.
