I didn’t get to reading many books this month. I’ve been trying to keep up with my goal of reading two books a month, but in May I missed the mark.
I am absolutely a sucker for literally judging a book by its cover. The cover featured a bunch of grapes, which either meant it was about food or wine, two things I love.
Eight Hundred Grapes follows LA lawyer, Georgia Ford in the days leading up to her wedding at her family’s vineyard. After discovering secrets from her boyfriend, brothers, and parents, Georgia loses it a little bit and rethinks everything she has going on in her life.
This isn’t my favourite book that I’ve read so far this year, but it was fairly decent. Laura Dave developed rich scenery that I loved, and a story that was good, but kind of predictable.
