Repurposed Chocolately Pretzels

I love a good party mix. How could you not with the delicious combination of salty goodness. The only thing I don’t like in the mix is pretzels. I always take them out. It’s not that I am vehemently against pretzels. I just don’t want them in the party mix. But I don’t like to waste them, so that’s where these repurposed pretzels come into play.

I wanted an easy way to use up these pretzels, and thought that chocolateifying them is a great way to go.

Ingredients

  • As many pretzels as you want
  • A couple handfuls of chocolate wafers
  • sprinkles

  • Lay out pretzels on parchment paper over a baking sheet
  • Boil a pot of water, put a heat-safe bowl over top of your bot when boiled
  • Add your chocolate wafers to the bowl, stir until melted
  • Drizzle melted chocolate over pretzels
  • Add sprinkles quickly before the chocolate dries

This is an incredibly easy recipe that is great for parties, to bring to the office, or a snack. I’m trying to do better with not wasting food and I think this is a creative solution to use up my least favourite part of one of my favourite snacks.
