Books My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite This was a really interesting read. It had a really different style than I was used to. My Sister, the Serial Killer had short chapters and it was a really quick read, but it was gripping […]

We are in the throes of December, which means a very holiday/wintery version of What I’ve been watching this week!! Elf Elf is my all-time favourite movie. Sorry! That’s just the way it is!! In my heyday I would watch it 3 or 4 times […]
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK
I finally got around to watching the finale of Drag Race UK. I thought it was a great finale, and I thought the winner was very deserving of the title. I thought both queens in the final two could have easily won the competition.
I really loved this season. It made me remember why I loved Drag Race in the first place. It was such a refreshing watch. The queens were so supportive of each other throughout the season. The lack of drama was nice. The challenges were fun, but felt quintessential Drag Race with a classic British twist.
Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 2
This came up in my YouTube recommended videos, because of how much Top Model I’ve been watching lately. I just love Top Model, I can’t help it. I’ve really been liking this international version.
Richard Osman’s House of Games
I love this show so much. We’ve watched another couple weeks of it. It’s a trivia show, but it’s pretty funny too. Check it out if you like British Panel Shows.
Richard Osman’s House of Games We discovered Richard Osman’s House of Games this week through my YouTube recommendations, and we are OBSESSED. It’s a daily show with 4 celebrities that battle it out over 5 rounds of quiz questions. The questions have a different spin […]
I was away this past week, so I expected to not even write a post because I didn’t think I’d be watching much television. I don’t know why I thought that, I love watching tv! Our AirBNB had an excellent selection of channels, featuring many […]
Drag Race UK
RuPaul’s Drag Race has finally made it across the pond. The first two episodes have been a lot of fun. I am biased because I feel like a British (or Northern Irish!) accent makes everything better.
I think the cast has been great. I love that they went with 10 queens and we can really focus on them. There seems to be a clear divide in social media queens and performing queens which seems to be more prominent than on American seasons. This is pretty evident in the Lip Sync For Your Life performances. They have been, uh, rough.
I’m really excited to see where the rest of this season goes.
I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to watch this show. It is unbelievable.
I just finished the third season, and I felt that this season is where the characters really began to learn and grow from the mistakes they’ve made in the past. They’ve been able to become better people and closer as a family. All without losing that ‘Rose’ charm that we love.
The writing in this show is truly outstanding. There are so many great quotes in every single episode. I laugh out loud every time I watch this show. But it doesn’t sacrifice real, genuine moments just for laughs. It might be a perfect show???
Top Chef Charleston
In trying to find something to have on during the day while working, I have turned to Top Chef Charleston. It was the first season I watched while it was on. It has a great group of returnees, and a pretty decent cast of newbies with a few standouts (hi Jim!!!!).
I always love the idea of a Fan vs Favourites season of any show, but the veterans always have a huge upper hand in the competition. At this point I’d rather just see an all newbies or all returnees season.
