Ex on the Beach The latest season of Ex on the Beach finished up a few weeks ago, but I hadn’t been able to get to the last few episodes until this week. I liked this season better than last season, but it’s still missing […]

Love Island US
I’ve been having a great time watching Love Island US. It has really surpassed any expectations I had for the show. Which were very few. I’m sorry! I was skeptical that CBS wouldn’t completely screw up a show that worked so well. The twists keep coming, but it’s nothing that doesn’t feel Love Islandish. I’m glad that the first few couples haven’t been locked in, and there really is a lot of fluidity with the relationships.
Ex on the Beach
For another show that was taken from the Brits, the third season of EOTB USA has arrived. The cast has some high points and low points, so it will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
I like that they fill the cast with reality tv people because it takes less time to get to know everyone. It’s a real trip seeing a former Big Brother player make out with Aubry O’Day.
I didn’t loooove the second season of this show, and I don’t find that it really lives up to its British counterpart.
Love Island UK – Series 4
After falling back in love with Love Island, I decided to pick up where I left off on watching the 4th series of Love Island. I fell off the wagon with it because I think I burned myself out a bit. It is 50 hour long episodes after all.
I am back in on this season, and the pace is really picking up at the end.
We’ve gotten the first part of the two-night finale for what is said to be the most dramatic season (aren’t they all). I was shocked at the elimination of Peter at the final 3. I really thought he was a lock for the final two from the beginning. And I am disappointed. I really like Peter and Tyler, and I think Jed kind of sucks. So I can only assume he wins it all.
And they eluded to some drama for after the final rose, which I’m sure means something to do with the Jed and his girlfriend ~drama~.
Taskmaster Series 2
After a long work weekend, I wanted to watch a show that I know I loved that provides a lot of laughs. I have made my love for Taskmaster very clear. I have watched series 2 more times than I can count, and I still LOL at many moments. If you are thinking about starting Taskmaster (please do) I recommend starting with the first episode of series 2. It is the perfect encapsulation of everything that Taskmaster is.
Bon Appetit Gourmet Makes videos I was recently introduced to a series of videos in which Former Bon Appetit Senior Food Editor, Claire Saffitz, attempts to make gourmet versions of your favourite junk food. As many of you may know, I love food television. I […]
Big Fat Quiz of the Year 2018 – This is really what I wait for each year – comedians answering questions about what went on each year and occasionally take breaks to drink wine. This year’s panel featured David Mitchell, Michelle Wolf, Claudia Winkleman, Mo Gilligan, Noel Fielding and Richard Ayoade. No surprise, this episode was amazing. I will probably watch it at least 6 times before 2019 is over.
Food Network Marathons – It’s the most wonderful time of the year – when networks feel like no one is really watching their programming, so they just put marathons on. That works for me!! I love sitting on the couch or setting the dvr for endless episodes of my favourite shows that I’ve definitely already seen. Just this week alone I’ve enjoyed marathons of Guy’s Grocery Games, Cutthroat Kitchen, Holiday Baking Championship, and Diners, Drive ins, and Dives! There’s truly no better way to spend the holiday season.
Ex on the Beach Season 2 – The very tame, American cousin of British reality television monolith, Ex on the Beach is back. What I do like about the US version of the show is that they fill the cast with people from other reality tv shows, and because I consume so much of this garbage, I know who everyone is. In season 2, there are some real heavy hitters including Teen Mom’s Farrah Abraham and The Bachelorette’s Chad Johnson. This show is obviously pure trash, but it’s MY pure trash.
