I was super excited to explore Dublin. We didn’t really have any set out plans, other than visiting the Guinness Brewery. It was nice to not have to be rushing around from thing to thing, it gave us the opportunity to walk around the city.
Our Air BnB was in a pretty good location. It was close enough we could walk, but we did a lot of busing. We got a 72 hour pass for the city bus at one of the tourism bureaus. This was handy, and it was the perfect amount of time for how long we were visiting.
In our wandering, we made it to the infamous Grafton Street. We perused the shops along the way and wandered into the George’s Street Arcade.
We also paid a visit to the Ha’Penny Bridge. Did you know it got it’s name from how much it used to cost to cross it? Half a penny!!
We couldn’t pass up an opportunity to have a drink at the infamous Temple Bar! We went during the day so I’m sure it gets much crazier at night. We didn’t stay for long, just enough time to say we did.
P.S. My drink of choice in Ireland was Orchard Thieves Cider.
