I am a lipstick fiend. Sorry, I can’t help it. I love all of the bright colours. I love the way lipstick makes you feel. Because of this, I have accumulated many, many lip products. One of my favourite brands is BITE Beauty. BITE Beauty […]

I finished up a lot of products in the last two months, which is great. For the rest of the year, and hopefully into 2020 I will focus on finishing up products I already have instead of using 3 or 4 different face washes or primers all at the same time. I’m going to try and avoid buying staple products I already have in my collection, and not to open things just to open them.
Here is what I used up in August and September.
I’m a big fan of this concealer. It is extremely affordable and I think it works really well. It provides nice coverage without ever looking or feeling too cakey. Would I buy it again? Yes! I’m already using a new one!
This was probably my 3rd or 4th tube of this concealer, so obviously I liked it. But I think I’m going to stick with the Colourpop concealer from here on out. I just feel the coverage is a bit better and it is slightly cheaper. Would I buy it again? Maybe, but not right now.
This is my favourite high-end mascara. This one was close to being finished, but not completely done. I dropped it and the packaging broke in a way where it couldn’t be closed again. I’ve gone through a couple of deluxe samples of this mascara that I get in gift sets or as point perks. I have another one in my back up bin currently, but I think I need to finish a couple of mascaras before I open it. Would I buy it again? Yes, but not right now.
I received this as a sample product in the mail. I thought it was a nice shampoo and conditioner. It made my hair feel soft and smooth. The scent is nice but a little overwhelming. This kind in particular was rose-scented. Would I buy it again? Probably not.
Sephora Collection Coconut Water Moisturizing Cream
This was my favourite moisturizer. Unfortunately for me, this is discontinued. I loved how light it was. And it was super affordable. Let me know if there’s any dupes for this one! Would I buy it again? I would if I could.
I really love this primer. The full-size is pretty expensive. This is my third little tube of it, I’ve gotten a few in sample sets. I really should buy the larger version. It’s nice and moisturizing, and the scent is nice. Would I buy it again? Yes. Once I get through my other primers! I might commit to the big one!
I got the big tube of this in an Ulta 21 Days of Beauty sale for an incredible price after going through a couple of tubes of the small version. This is a perfect daily cleanser. It’s not harsh at all, and it does a good job. Would I buy it again? Yes, I have another tube in my stash – just trying to finish up some other cleansers!
I got this years ago on super sale at a nearby drug store. And it’s fine. It’s a nice body exfoliator, but it’s nothing incredibly special. The melon scent was just a little too much for me! Would I buy it again? No.
I received this cleanser/mask combo in an Influenster box a while back. I only really used it as a cleanser. This mask worked really well for me. If I was having a problem skin day, I would just use this in the shower and my skin was noticeably different the next day. I never found it too harsh either. Would I buy it again? Yes!
This deodorant was sent to me to try out as they sponsored my podcast. (This post is not sponsored though!) I had never tried a natural deodorant before, I’m a sweater so I didn’t think it would work for me. It did work for me! I was pretty impressed with it. I did find near the end of the tube it irritated my underarms. Would I buy it again? Possibly.
I like this primer. It’s super affordable, which is great for me. I find it smooths my skin out nicely. This is the second bottle I’ve gone through. Would I buy it again? Yes.
Neutrogena Essentials Night Moisturizer
This is a nice, thick night time moisturizer. I liked using it, and it lasted a long time. I did sometimes find it a little too heavy. I think it’s more fitting for dry skin. Would I buy it again? Maybe!
I don’t go through a whole lot of dry shampoo, but I like having a smaller size on hand for when I do need it. Batiste is obviously a very popular brand for dry shampoo. And I think it’s fine! Would I buy it again? Probably.
This spray has been my ride-or-die forever. It’s what gives my naturally brunette hair a nice ~blondeish~ appearance. I couldn’t even tell you how many of these bottles of this I’ve gone through. Would I buy it again? Over and over.
I have a lot of makeup products that I need to use. I get a deep sense of satisfaction when I finish products up. I can pretty easily finish up foundations, concealers, lotions, and anything else I’m using on a regular basis. I have a harder time with lipsticks, eyeshadows, blushes, etc. because I’m always wanting to try different ones.
I thought maybe I should take inspiration from the Project Panning community and pick out a few products to try and use up by the end of 2019.
Here’s what I’m going to try and pan:
Foil Pack Samples – I’ve always had a weird thing about hording samples and never using them. I don’t know why. I put them away and never use them, telling myself that maybe one day I will. The biggest problem is that I just kind of forget I have them. I put these right on my vanity where I can see them in hopes that I will indeed use them.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop – I got this mini version of the infamous Champagne Pop as a 100 point perk from Sephora. There has been so much hype about this highlighter that I didn’t really think I would love it THAT much. But I do. It’s fantastic. It’s buildable, so you can use it for a subtle glow or a really popping highlight. I do have a slightly bigger mini or this, so I won’t feel too bad about using this one up. Plus, the packaging on this cheap mini broke so it’s not great to travel with anymore.
Tarte Tartelette Tease Palette – This is my most-used palette by far. I love how small it is, and I take it on every trip I go on. You can create a surprising amount of looks with it, considering how small it is. I’ve had it for a long time and have put a nice dent in a couple of the shades, but I really want to hit pan in this palette this year. I’ve never hit pan on an eyeshadow before.
Bite Beauty Matte Crème Lip Crayon in Glacé – This came as part of the Sephora birthday set last year, and it is a perfect mauvey-nude. It’s a very flattering colour and is extremely wearable, so I think it will be able to use this quite a lot.
MAC Cosmetics Mini Lipstick in Velvet Teddy – This was another super hyped product that I bought into. I love MAC lipsticks. I don’t reach for this colour a lot, and I’m not sure why. It’s a really nice beige that can work with a lot of eyelooks. Again, because it’ a mini I think I might be able to get through this one.
Benefit Cosmetics Powders in Hoola Matte Bronzer and Rockateur Blush – I got these two powders in a holiday set a couple years ago and I still use it fairly regularly. As you can see, there is a pretty good dent in the bronzer, but I tend to only use it as a contour shade. I think I could use it quicker by also using it as a bronzer. The blush shade is a really nice subtle pink that is nice on the daily.
NYX Concealer Jar – I like this concealer to cover up blemishes. It’s creamy and easy to blend. I bought a back up of this already and I;m not even halfway through this one. I’ve been going lighter with foundation lately and going heavier on concealer. I think I can use this product up faster if I use it like that.
