Ex on the Beach The latest season of Ex on the Beach finished up a few weeks ago, but I hadn’t been able to get to the last few episodes until this week. I liked this season better than last season, but it’s still missing […]

With me getting some casual knee surgery last week, I had quite a bit of time to watch tv. What makes that different than any other week you ask? Well, pretty much nothing, except my food network marathons were much longer than usual. Survivor This […]
Top Chef Season 11 – I couldn’t stop the Top Chef train this week. After I finished Season 10, I moved right onto Season 11, New Orleans. This is such a fun season. I love New Orleans and I really enjoy seeing the city as a backdrop. Many of the challenges highlight how great New Orleans is. The cast of characters is great too. One of my favourites, Shirley, is such a delight.
RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 11 Cast reveal – As excited as I am for season 11 of Drag Race, this cast reveal was a hot mess. Each queen came out and spoke to Adam Rippon for a bit, and then played a weird game with Aquaria. The whole special was messy and didn’t do a great job at introducing the queens. VH1 must have realized what a hot mess it was, because it’s no longer available on their YouTube channel. Here is who I am most excited to see from this cast.
Celebrity Big Brother 2 – A new season of Celebrity Big Brother premiered this week. I love the celebrity seasons because they are so short it’s hard to get tired of everyone. The game play moves much quicker. I tend to get bored of Big Brother about halfway through the season. The cast has been fun so far, with one or two exceptions (looking at you, mooch). It seems like everyone is trying to play, whether or not they even understand the game.
RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 4 – We have had 3 iterations of RPDR (plus a holiday special!!) in one calendar year, which is truly insane. But that does not mean I wasn’t super excited for the premiere. The episode followed what has become the traditional format for All Star premieres – entrances, reading, talent show. Which I enjoy. It really gives you an opportunity to re-meet the queens and get a handle on what they are known for. I am super excited for what the rest of this season is going to bring.
Top Chef Kentucky – The second episode of Top Chef Kentucky was fun, but I still feel like we haven’t gotten to know some of the chef-testants very well. We have yet to have a solo challenge which is when they are really able to shine. Some of the contestants got a little screwed over because of the team format – they weren’t able to get their necessary ingredients because they were over budget. The season is just starting to heat up, and I’m not just talking about that Kentucky 99% humidity. Hear more of my thoughts about the episode on the Top Chef Judges Round Table.
Cuckoo Season 4 – This is a great little British Netflix original. I love Greg Davies, so this was one of the reasons I started watching this show in the first place. The first season follows Greg’s character as he meets his daughter’s hippie husband, Cuckoo (played by Andy Samberg) that she met while on a gap year. In the following seasons, Taylor Lautner comes in as Cuckoo’s son. I think this show is very funny and odd. I was excited to see there was a new season on Netflix. I’ve only watched the premiere so far, and it wasn’t quite as LOL-inducing as usual, but I still enjoyed it.
This was the week that I’ve finally gotten into the holiday spirit with my viewing habits. A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding – This was a sequel to 2017’s much-beloved holiday movie A Christmas Prince where a journalist goes undercover as a tutor to get […]
Great Canadian Baking Show Season 2 – GCBS ended a few weeks ago, but I just finally caught up with the final two episodes of the season. Once again, it was adorably charming. Emma and Dan, the hosts are SO GOOD. They exude the quirky, […]
RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 7 & 6 – Okay, the entire series being on Netflix might be one of the best things that have ever happened to me. I finished watching season 7 this week (although, I skipped the finale – for whatever reason the finale is always my least favourite episode) and naturally I moved on to watching season 6.
America’s Next Top Model Cycle 3 – And so the trend continues. I was able to finish another season of ANTM this week. Season 3 is a lot of fun, but the show is still trying to find its groove.
Britain’s Next Top Model Cycle 10 – I needed to mix my love of top model franchises with my love for the Brits this week. This was the first season with new host, Abbey Clancy. I watched this season a couple of months ago, but I thought I might as well watch it again. I love this season. I love their take on the series. It doesn’t take itself QUITE as seriously, which is refreshing.
27 Dresses – As I was up early on a Sunday morning, I was perusing the tv guide. I ended up watching a few episodes of Hollywood Feuds. Which featured some interesting re-enactments of celebrities. Anyway, after that movie music came on so I checked the guide to see what movie it was. I literally gasped when it was 27 Dresses. This is one of my favourite movies and I have seen it an absurd amount of times. I spent my Sunday afternoon watching it and guess what. I STILL LOVE IT.
