I’ve had a pretty crazy 2020 so far. Because I’m very good at justifying things to myself, I thought my hard work so far this year deserved a treat in the form of a trip (online) to Sephora. Bite Beauty Changemaker Foundation in L40 I […]
Well folks, another VIB sale at Sephora has arrived. It comes at the perfect time to start some Christmas shopping. Most of the gift sets are out already as well, so you can get a lot of value with those. With an extra little discount, it sweetens the deal.
If you’re looking for a little extra money back, use my Rakuten code to sign up for the program and get money back every time you shop online. (I get a referral bonus if you use this link)
Here’s what I recommend to you and what’s in my cart.
These are one of my favourite lipstick formulas. It seems like Bite is reformulating these, so all of them are on sale right now for half off. When you add in the extra discount it’s a great deal.
I love First Aid Beauty skincare products, and their gift sets are alwaus amazing. They’re a pretty decent price and you get to try a whole array of their products to see what you like.
I love these mini palettes. There’s a great variety of colour stories, so you’ll be able to find one that suits you. The mauve obsessions one is my favourite, and I love the look of the new Nude Obsessions.
I’m trying to not buy sheet masks anymore. I bought one of these because they discontinued my other favourite face masks. I quite like them, and do find they make a difference. They’re a perfect stocking stuffer.
What’s In My Cart
I’ve been struggling with my skin the last couple months. I got a sample of the Knockout Tingling Treatment Toner in my last order, and I’ve found that it works really well for me. It’s hard for me to resist a set!
I love this primer. I’ve gone through a couple of these already. It’s incredibly affordable as well.
There’s also a few Christmas gifts I am picking up, so I can’t list them here! What are you going to pick up in the sale? Check out my other Sephora Recommendations and Hauls here.
Sephora, our higher end beauty mecca, is infamous for having very few sales. Sorry if you fell in love with a $30 mascara but can’t justify paying that every time the suggested 3 month usage period is up. Luckily, Sephora does have a sale in […]
I’ve been trying to make an effort to use up a lot of my products lately. I am a bit of a hoarder. But I bought them to use them, so here we go. If I’ve managed to finish something it usually means I liked it.
Elf Cosmetics Makeup Mist & Spray – For some reason I don’t like to spend a lot of money on products that people can’t see, like a setting spray. This one from elf is like $4 and I think it does a pretty decent job. I definitely notice a difference in my makeup lasting throughout the day when I don’t use it. Would I buy it again? Yes. I already had a back up ready to go. I am on my third bottle of this.
First Aid Beauty Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser with Red Clay – I got this cleanser in a set from Sephora when it was on sale. This lasted me a while, and I really liked using it. I used it maybe once or twice a week, when I felt like my skin needed a good deep cleanse or when I have a break out.
Would I buy it again? Yes, but maybe when there’s a sale or when I have a coupon.
Sephora Coconut Face Mask – I really like Sephora’s skincare line. I find it affordable by Sephora standards and I think the quality is pretty good. I am never really sure how to feel about face masks, like I’m not sure if they do anything truly????????? I like the sleeping masks better than the sheet masks, personally. Would I buy it again? Maybe in a blackout state.
Sephora Coconut Water Moisturizing Cream – I bought this on a whim from the Sephora sale section one day – which is dangerous, because those are usually discontinued products and they will one day be sold out and never come back. Which is what happened with my now-favourite moisturizer. Would I buy it again? Yes. Luckily I had one as backup, but after that I am on the hunt for a new moisturizer.
Too Faced Sun Bunny Bronzer – A friend gave me this little sample version, which I used exclusively for like a solid year. I found a big boy version at Winners for a steal of a price. Anyway, I think this slightly breaks me out now which is not great for me. Would I buy it again? I did buy a bigger version of it, but I don’t think I will ever be able to finish that in my life time.
The Ordinary High Adherence Silicone Primer – Clocking in under $5, this is a pretty unbeatable primer for the price. It doesn’t have that weird feeling that silicone primers usually have, and I find it decently moisturizing and it works well with The Ordinary’s serum foundation, which I’m a big fan of. Would I buy it again? Yes, I already had one for backup.
Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil – I got this sample in a Sephora order. I would use it after washing my hair, prior to using a hair dryer. I thought it was fine, but not worth the money of a full size. Would I buy it again? Probably not.
Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer – I bought this concealer after hearing it was a pretty decent dupe for the Tarte Shape Tape concealer at a much more budget-friendly price. I tend to go through concealer pretty quickly, so I don’t really want to get emotionally attached to a product that is both pretty expensive and not super easy to acquire in the great white north. This was my second tube I believe. I recently bought the Colourpop No Filter concealer, and I am waiting for that to come in, so I am looking forward to seeing how they compare. Would I buy it again? Yes, I already had one for backup.
Bath & Body Works Fresh Lemonade Foaming Hand Soap – When B&BW has a sale on these soaps, I tend to stock up. I embarassingly have like, 9 in my cupboard right now. My boyfriend only likes foaming hand soaps, so that’s what I buy. This scent was fine, but really bugged me near the end. Maybe because it was joyful and summery when I was in the deep, depressing throes of winter.
