We’re a couple weeks into the new Survivor season, and I’ve been enjoying it so far. I didn’t have high hopes about the Island of the Idols twist. And I’m still not totally on board with it. The cast so far has been really amazing and fun, and I don’t want to have to waste a whole lot of time on a weird twist. I am now more hopeful about how things are going to play out. I don’t think the US version of the show is nearly as good as the OG British version, but this season has been pretty good. I think we waste a lot of time on crush weeks. I also wish we could see the departure of a few more of the original singles, because a lot of the exes are exes of exes anyway. I think there has been ample drama, and everyone is getting involved.
I more or less gave up on Teen Mom OG. I just wasn’t feeling it anymore. I am still giving Teen Mom 2 a chance. With the exit of Jenelle and the entrance of Jade, it gave the show the little boost it needed. This season so far has been okay. The biggest point of drama comes from someone who isn’t even a part of the cast – Leah’s sister who, in the process of getting her divorce, got pregnant from a hook up in Costa Rica. The fun never ends!!

The newest season of The Challenge started a few weeks ago. This season we see the Americans face off against the Brits. I love seeing a team challenge, we haven’t seen one in ages. I don’t have high hopes that it will stay teams until the very end, though. Like with any season of The Challenge, there’s been lots of drama so far. I’m really enjoying this season even though we’re only a few episodes in.
The ‘come one, come all’ theme of this season was exactly what AYTO needed to bring life into a format that’s getting a little stale. Now that the season is over, I can say that it was easily one of my favourites. The cast was fantastic. I liked that it was a smaller cast, so we were able to get to know more people. I’d love to see them do another season like this.
The second series of Derry Girls came to Netflix a couple months ago. I absolutely fell in love with the first series. It was so funny and endearing, and I was hoping that the second series would live up to it. There was no need to worry. The second series was amazing. I loved it so much. It even brought a little bit of an emotional element into the second half of the series. It was so magical and wonderful. Please watch it.
I promised in a What I’m Going To Watch This Year post a couple of months ago that I was going to watch Schitt’s Creek. I did start it, but kind of put it on the back burner. Well, I’m back baby. I’m firing through the episodes now. It is such a brilliant show. It sure helps that it’s a Canadian show too!

I’ve been telling my boyfriend for weeks (maybe even months) that I wanted to watch the Netflix well murder mystery, starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston so not to watch it without me. And because I need to be in a very specific mood to watch a movie. After a while of pestering, I was finally in the mood to watch it.
It was a light, fun movie. I don’t think it’s going to win any Oscars, but that’s not really what they were going for. I enjoyed watching it. It had everything I expected from this movie. I can’t see myself going back and rewatching this movie over and over, but I had a good time watching it.
After my Vanderpump Rules marathon, many suggested to watch its Bravo counterpart, Southern Charm. It’s set in the gorgeous city of Charleston, South Carolina and it follows a a group of “elites” in the city.
I definitely don’t enjoy this show nearly as much as I liked VPR. VPR had an air of reliability (at least in the beginning) that Southern Charm just doesn’t have. I don’t know what it’s like to be a 55-y-o man with family money that is running for state senate and impregnating 22-y-olds.
It’s fine, I’ll keep watching but I’m not dying to watch each episode.
